

HAMLET PASSENGER STATION - BUILT 1900
Hamlet - a sleepy little Southern town in North Carolina - is about to become a beehive of activity such as hasn't been seen in nearly 100 years. "Move over, This Old House,"
because Hamlet has a fix'er up'er project that will attract the attention of an entire nation - The Hamlet
Passenger Station. In 1900, the Seaboard Air Line Railway built an architectural masterpiece that became
the focal point of the bustling railroad terminal at Hamlet, the "Hub of the Seaboard." The late Queen Anne style building with its tall "witches' hat" roof over a central rotunda
The relocation of the building was Relocated and the restoration will begin Immediately.
Residents and agencies of Hamlet, Richmond County and the State of North Carolina, have rallied together to do whatever is necesary to save our beloved landmark. A landmark that represents not only an incredible railroad past but what also may be instore for the future.
